Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has made a comeback from the injury to once again captain the Merseyside club.

Young Scot and former Rangers defender Danny Wilson gets a run-out in what looks to be a 3-2-3-2 formation, whilst January signing Luis Suarez returns to the helm of the Liverpool attack after missing out on the Reds' 1-0 Europa League triumph over Sparta Prague in midweek.

Demba Ba will make his third league appearance for the Hammers ahead of Carlton Cole, who remains on the bench. Ba scored twice on his full debut against West Brom on February 12, and partners former Portsmouth-striker Frederic Piquionne up-front.

The game comes too early for Tottenham-loanee Robbie Keane, who is absent with a calf strain.
